Horseshoe Bend Proposal // Page, AZ

Let me start by saying I felt SO HONORED to be invited into capturing this special trip + the most special moment for Ashley + Darrien!!! Ashley reached out to me LONG before this trip to start planning the proposal and engagement session while on their desert trip to Arizona. We chatted for months, getting so excited about the proposal evening at Horseshoe Bend!

I arrived 30 minutes early to go get in place for the proposal. I had texted Ashley a hand drawn direction photo over maps to show how to get to the spot I had found! It was important to her that the moment was as private as possible. When shooting at a place as popular as Horseshoe Bend, this means you really have to walk away from the main overlook and crowds to find some peace and quiet!

Of course the entire time I was waiting there was ZERO people in the area, and then as they were approaching a group of people was right in front of them and behind! UGH! Thankfully I was able to sneakily get the groups attention and ask them to leave because a super special moment was about to happen!!!

After the tourists dispersed, Ashley got down on one knee and the rest is history!!! These two were SO GIDDY and adorable, laughing with joy and excitement at being ENGAGED!!!

After the proposal we walked around and did some sunset photos, and then met up again in the morning for their official engagement session to explore more of the desert!
