Epic Moab Elopement with Off-Roading Adventures and Hidden Gems

When Cas and Trace decided to elope in Moab, they didn’t just want desert vibes—they wanted an unforgettable adventure. With a hidden BLM ceremony site, an off-roading Jeep trek, and breathtaking views, their day was as epic as their love story.

There’s no place like Moab for couples craving adventure, epic landscapes, and a truly one-of-a-kind elopement experience.

For Cas and Trace, traveling all the way from the South to say “I do” in the desert wasn’t just a trip—it was a dream come true. And with their family by their side and a weekend to explore Moab together, their elopement was nothing short of unforgettable.

What made their day extra special? Beyond the stunning views and heartwarming moments, they got to experience Moab in a way most couples don’t: with access to secret locations and a Jeep adventure that took their breath away—literally.

Cas and Trace kicked off their Moab adventure by renting a massive Airbnb where their family could stay together for the weekend. From shared meals to elopement and adventure prep, the space became a hub for connection, laughter, and making memories before the big day.

For their ceremony, they chose one of my favorite hidden spots on BLM land—a location I’m able to use because of a special commercial permit that not many photographers get approved for. This permit gives me access to exclusive areas that most people don’t even know exist, which is perfect for couples who want a private and unforgettable experience. Cas and Trace brought their vision to life with rented chairs and florals that transformed the secluded desert spot into a dreamy ceremony site. With the guidance of a local officiant, they exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones and the vast, rugged beauty of Moab.

The Jeep Adventure of a Lifetime

After capturing some family portraits and soaking in the post-ceremony glow, it was time for the adventure to begin. We piled into a Jeep with the bride’s dad behind the wheel and set off for one of my all-time favorite overlooks in Moab. Getting there is half the fun—the off-roading journey is bumpy, exciting, and an adventure in itself. But the real magic happens when you arrive at the top. There’s a moment I always look forward to with my couples: the first time they step up to the edge and take in the jaw-dropping view. The overlook offers sweeping views of the desert below, with winding canyons and a vast expanse of red rock that seems to go on forever. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel small in the best way possible, and it’s always so fun to see the awe and excitement on my couples’ faces.

Why Moab is Perfect for Your Elopement

Moab isn’t just a beautiful destination—it’s a place that inspires adventure and connection. Whether you’re dreaming of a quiet ceremony with just the two of you or an adventurous day with your closest family and friends, Moab offers endless possibilities. What makes it even more special is having access to locations that most people don’t.

Thanks to my experience in the area and my commercial use permit, I’m able to take my couples to hidden spots that feel completely untouched and exclusive. These aren’t the crowded overlooks you see in guidebooks—these are private, off-the-beaten-path gems where you can truly immerse yourself in the beauty of the desert.
