Lake Como Engagement Session // Varenna, Italy

Allison reached out to me when she saw I was going to be in Italy for most of May and said her and her fiancé would hop on a plane to come get the most epic engagement session photos! Being a flight attendant it was a perfect fit for them to be able to do their photos internationally! Plus, their first big trip together as a couple was to Italy awhile back so it felt full circle to celebrate their engagement here.

They split their time between Bellagio & Varenna. We met up once they came over to Varenna where they stayed at the Royal Victoria Hotel, which is where we started our session. Allison and I were totally obsessed with the yellow walls at their hotel! They had the cutest outdoor seating areas overlooking the Lake.

After shooting at Royal Victoria Hotel we walked the cute little streets - every single corner of these old towns is filled with SO much character!!! Colorful walls, tons of plants, cobblestone streets… the perfect romantic vibe! And of COURSE we had to get some gelato to make it the true Italy experience.

Then we hopped onto a boat for a sunset cruise around the lake! We popped some bubbly and these two got snuggly! Seeing Varenna from the water was SO BEAUTIFUL! You really get the best view of the town this way! All the colorful buildings and the church tower in the back was so beautiful. This was my favorite part of the shoot!
