Lake Cushman Micro Wedding // Olympic National Park, WA
This wedding was really more like:
~ part adventure hiking elopement, part lakeside casual summer party ~
I feel like this should invent a whole new category of “ways to elope” or “unique wedding ideas” because this one sure hit the nail on the head.
L & J stayed true to themselves and planned their wedding day around EXACTLY what they wanted and knew they would enjoy.
First look by the lake in the morning, followed by a hike in the Olympic National Park with their immediate families and each of their best friends. We found a spot right along the river with raging rapids where we did have to slightly strain to hear everyone haha! It was there that they said their vows, the families and friends read heartfelt letters to them, and they sprayed some champagne and made it official! Jake mentioned how hard it would have been to be that vulnerable in front of tons of people. He said it was the perfect size and group of people to share that moment with them!
After photos, we all went back to their family lake house on Lake Cushman to set up for the afternoon party that all their friends and extended family would come join them for. They kept it super casual, not following any traditions except for a few toasts. Everyone drank, hung out, and jumped in the lake at some point in the day. The PERFECT day!
