Smith Rock State Park Micro Wedding // Terrebonne, OR
Erica + Jason first got me SO excited about their story and their wedding plans when they mentioned how intimate and special they wanted it to be. They wanted to ensure that every single detail was completely about THEM, and reflected their style and personalities to a T. Smith Rock State Park has always been a special place for them in their relationship, and I was so thrilled that they chose to hold their ceremony in a location that meant so much to them as a couple.
Here’s her first email to me: “Jason has really been my 2nd chance at love. I was heartbroken and had given up on love completely when I moved to central Oregon 3+ years ago and was alone here with my dog for a year prior to meeting him. During that time, I spent a TON of time at Smith Rock hiking around, sitting on benches taking in the views, thinking, etc. So Smith Rock has special importance to me and continues to as we hike there often. We love to travel and Jason proposed this March when we were on a pier looking out to the ocean in Playa Del Carmen. We were considering a destination wedding until we were recently out at Smith Rock (again) and we just looked at each other like of course this needs to be the place.”
I wish every couple would consider the importance and the meaning of locations in their story! Clearly this place symbolized something so special to them and I think it comes through in their images as well.
Their ceremony was so heartfelt and sweet, and all of the decor Erica chose was my actual DREAM. Her style is STUNNING, I mean, can we talk about her ridiculously pretty dress, jewelry, and florals are?!? And her impeccable style transferred over into the reception where they had a backyard party with their closest friends and family members. I was completely OBSESSING over the mobile bar they hired, The Tipsy Lemon.
