Tulum Mexico Beach Micro Wedding at Zamas Hotel

Boho Tulum Tiny Wedding

Originally these two had booked me for their traditional wedding near Seattle at Maroni Meadows (my fave Washington venue!) next summer, but this summer they decided to change plans and elope in Tulum Mexico instead! When they asked if I would be cool to come along and capture their big day still… I said HECK YA COUNT ME IN! So Mikal and I booked our plane tickets & airbnb super last minute and added Mexico to our calendar!!!! Woohoo!!

The weather was perfect, the venue was perfect, the company was perfect. Everything about this intimate wedding day was wonderful! Mikal and I felt SO honored and thankful that Natalie & Kyle invited US to be a part of their special day. When there are only 8 guests, it feels like such a huge deal to be invited to celebrate your couple because you make up a huge percentage of their guests! We felt SO welcomed into their family & enjoyed the evening eating and drinking at the table with them.

I love that they decided to do what was best for them & enjoy their wedding the way they wanted to. I wish I could photograph this day 10 more times!!!! So happy for N+K, and can’t wait to see what comes with this next season of life for them!

TULUM TRAVEL FAVORITES

Tulum is easily the cutest town I have ever been in! Hammocks galore, the most modern boho architecture, vegan/gluten free/dairy free options EVERYWHERE you go!!!! Seriously this place is a healthy, sun-loving, bohemian paradise! We loved just exploring the beach town strip and eating our brains out!

If anyone reading this ever has interest in visiting Tulum, here’s a list of our favorite restaurants we ate at multiple times! Be sure to check out happy hour too, most places have BOGO free drinks from 12-6pm!

Breakfast: Farm to Table, Del Cielo

Lunch: El Canaston, Burrito Amor

Afternoon snacks: Matcha Mama, Raw Love

Dinner: Charley’s Vegan Tacos

As far as cenotes go (which are caves you can snorkel & jump into EVERYWHERE around Tulum!!) we only went to 2 because Mikal forgot to pack his contacts, so he couldn’t see when we were snorkeling sadly! But the two we checked out & really enjoyed were: Gran Cenote & Cenote Calavera!
